Job summary

Contra Costa County Health Services Department is continuously recruiting for journey-level Physical Therapist II positions. Therapists may be assigned to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, Health Centers, or the California Children Services Programs across the County.

Physical Therapist II is a journey-level role performing a full range of general therapy while developing skills for advanced/specialized treatments. Eligible list may remain for six months.

Qualifications

• Includes evaluating, planning and implementing advanced therapy treatments.
• Requires ability to supervise therapy treatments and assist in specialized therapy.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and collaboration with other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement therapy treatments per medical direction.
• Supervise administration of therapy treatments (neuro, orthotics, gait training).
• Instruct patients on pain management, posture and body mechanics.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with other care providers for patient follow-up.
