Job summary

Cottage Health is seeking a Physical Therapist II to interpret, organize and apply physical therapy services for inpatients and outpatients. You will plan and implement programs tailored to individual needs while maintaining care that adheres to professional standards and a commitment to compassionate patient interactions.

The role requires CA licensure or eligibility, BLS certification, and a minimum of 6 months PT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensed as Physical Therapist in California or eligible (out-of-state license allowed temporarily).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• CA Driver's License is preferred.

• Provide physical therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients.

Job description

The Physical Therapist II interprets, organizes, applies and modifies as necessary prevention and wellness strategies and medically prescribed physical therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients. The Physical Therapist II plans and implements programs to meet individual needs and provides patient care consistent with the Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics of the American Physical Therapy Association. Competency skills include the ability to provide care in a safe environment utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity to special populations. This includes patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical impairments.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: License applicant for state of California (currently holds out of state license) or licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of California, BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred: Valid CA Driver's License

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities.

Knowledge of body mechanics, including procedure for handling and moving patients

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 6 months experience as a Physical Therapist

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health's annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
