Job description

The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients' conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is capable of effectively treating all patients within their clinical practice setting and completing all physical therapy duties with minimal guidance. The role involves initiating communication among interdisciplinary team members, confidently treating familiar patients, and advocating for patients and the team. Independent practice is required in the primary setting, with occasional guidance needed in complex or cross-coverage situations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Evaluating and treating patients with various diagnoses, including complex cases.
2. Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Administering therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
4. Educating patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques.
5. Collaborating on discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
6. Monitoring and documenting patient progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
7. Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
8. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years (Required)
• Licensure/Certification: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
