Summary

This per diem position is in the specialty area of pelvic health physical therapy. The role is located at an outpatient clinic in Durham that specializes in pelvic health and lymphedema therapies. Candidates must have prior work in this specialty area or completed a 12-week clinical rotation as a student, plus Pelvic Floor Level 1 education. The ideal candidate would have experience in pelvic floor physical therapy and trauma-informed care. Preferred candidates can cover staff leaves and assist in program growth. The clinic hosts the Women's Health residency program at UNC Health, providing opportunities to interact with mentors and the Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities

1. Selects and performs appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Sets treatment goals and devises a treatment plan. Re-evaluates and adjusts the PT treatment plan as needed.
2. Manages resources needed to perform PT treatment plans to achieve patient goals.
3. Completes PT documentation in the medical record per guidelines and for billing/statistics.
4. Manages PT caseload efficiently and effectively.
5. Provides supervision and teaching for PT students or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and learning activities. Provides feedback and evaluates performance.
6. Coordinates clinical programs responding to patient needs, technologies, regulations, and reimbursement. Communicates regularly with physicians, supervisors, and team members regarding PT programs and patients.

Education Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina.
• BLS certification.
