Summary

We are seeking a per diem Physical Therapist I position located in Siler City, NC. This position may float between acute care and outpatient clinics. Total hours per week are variable based on availability. Weekend availability is a plus.

This is professional work involving the evidence-based evaluation of patient disabilities, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments. Incumbents complete documentation, instruct patients, families, and students, and participate in clinical program development and management. The clinician is expected to engage in continuing education, departmental and community activities, outreach education, and serve as a preceptor to students.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Testing - Administers diagnostic tests and evaluations for mobility disorders and related impairments.
• Education - Teach and supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and clinical fellows/residents. Develop or contribute to programs to enhance patient care. Serve as a resource to other clinicians.
• Evaluation of Care - Analyze diagnostic and therapeutic results to establish patient goals and modify treatment plans. Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
• Implementation - Apply current techniques to provide quality rehabilitative services. Organize care according to patient needs.
• Outreach/Community Involvement - Serve as a resource for government departments and health professionals. Present at local and state levels, participate in community health events, and develop new clinical programs.
• Participation - Attend departmental meetings and in-services.
• Quality - Maintain accurate records, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.

Other Information

Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina. BLS certification.
