Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist I to join the Central Kansas Orthopedic Group. You will conduct individualized evaluations and design goal-directed plans to improve patients' physical function and mobility.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, supervising PTAs, documenting clearly, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a full-time, on-site position within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active PT license (State Board of Healing Arts) prior to employment.
  • BLS/BCLS certification required.
  • Eligible for Kansas PT licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients in the designated clinical area, considering physical, psychosocial, developmental, and cultural needs.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans using clinical reasoning; serves as a resource to staff and students.
  • Performs clear, compliant documentation per policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental policies and standards; maintains continuing education requirements.
  • Supervises PTAs and rehabilitation technicians, communicates results and treatment plans.
  • May provide educational programs and supervise students in learning environments.
  • Contributes to performance improvement data collection and analysis.

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy Doctorate
