Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Physical Therapist I to join our rehabilitation team. You will deliver PT services to patients in a department-designated setting, collaborating with physicians and other care professionals to support recovery.

Requires graduation from an accredited PT program and license to practice physical therapy in the state. The role may involve pediatric experience and lifting requirements consistent with clinical duties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy school.
• Minimum of 0-2 years' experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred and strong clinical affiliation considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services to individuals and families in a team relationship with other health care providers in a designated department setting.
• Works within the department to support patient mobility and functional goals.

The Physical Therapist I provides physical therapy services to individuals and their families in a team relationship with other health care providers in a setting that is designated by the department.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy school.
• Minimum of 0 -2 years` experience.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Specific only to the Physical Therapist I in the Pediatric/Institute for Child Development (ICD), a minimum of 2 or more years of previous pediatric experience, preferably in a medical and or possibly outpatient pediatric clinical or school setting. A strong pediatric clinical affiliation will also be considered.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Physical Therapist License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

• Regular contact with Hackensack University Medical Center personnel and its visitors.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
