Physical Therapist I (Casual) - Physical Therapy

Join to apply for the Physical Therapist I (Casual) - Physical Therapy role at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

This is a casual position subject to renewal on 12/19/2025.

Job Summary

Independently evaluates patients' movement abilities through standardized tests, clinical observation, and interviews. Develops individualized treatment plans, including home exercise programs, and collaborates with medical teams. Implements treatment plans to maximize functional potential or restore previous functioning, documenting all clinical findings for comprehensive intervention planning.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
  • Physical Therapist license in California or CA Physical Therapist license applicant (PTLA) if new graduate or licensed elsewhere
  • Valid California driver's license and auto insurance when applicable
  • Bachelor's degree in lieu of Master's if graduated prior to 2000
  • Ability to work independently, using critical thinking to make strategic, patient-centered decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate Degree (non-MD)
  • Pediatric experience
Salary Range

The current salary range is $45.75 to $62.90 per hour. Compensation considers experience, education, licensure, skillsets, organizational needs, and internal equity. The posting remains open until filled or sufficient applicants are received.
