About Duke HomeCare & Hospice
Pursue your passion for caring with Duke HomeCare & Hospice, which offers hospice, home health, and infusion services across the region, as well as serves as the home for the Duke Caregiver Support Program. Team members work closely with a patient's physician to provide comprehensive, individualized care in the comfort of their home or at our inpatient hospice facility in Durham, NC.
Provide physical therapy services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes; provide prevention and wellness services, including screenings and health promotion. The senior serves as a resource person for the team and the department, participating in orientation of new staff therapists, physicians, and other health personnel. The senior also participates in teaching activities for physical therapy and other health-related students. The physical therapist works within practice guidelines as defined by North Carolina state law.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, and transfer patients.
Education: Bachelor's degree or certification in physical therapy; Master's or Clinical Doctorate preferred.
Experience: None beyond required education; more experience may be preferred.
Licenses, Certifications: Current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina.
