Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated in-home physical therapist to provide care for patients with neuro and/or musculoskeletal disorders, under physician direction. The role requires an accredited PT program graduate, current state license, CPR certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ideal candidates have strong assessment and treatment planning skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with office staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state license and valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physically healthy.
• Able to work independently and handle emergencies.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willing to work weekends and on-call rotation.
• Two years experience in acute care or home care preferred.
• Adaptable, takes initiative, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Independently schedule patient visits in a timely and efficient manner.
• Check in with the office daily to update the schedule.
• May be required to drive in hazardous conditions; follow instructions and read maps.
• Work weekends and on-call rotation per schedule.
• Regular contact with agency staff, physicians, hospital staff, and the general public.
• Handle confidential information on a regular basis.

Overview

Position Details:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state license.
• Valid drivers license.
• Certifications: CPR certification.

• Employee is energetic, gets along well with others, has good time management and problem solving skills.
• Employee possesses good communication and documentation skills.
