Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehab technicians, with supervision of PT assistants per State Practice Acts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy required.
• Current/Temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year rehabilitation experience preferred; experience with adult/geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
