Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Orlando Central is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our acute rehabilitation unit housed inside Select Specialty Hospital. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly compensation and a $15,000 sign-on bonus, plus weekend shift differential to reflect experience and dedication.

You will lead patient assessments, discharge planning, and supervise PT/ PTA staff while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address medical, physical, and vocational

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Certified BLS or obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Set goals and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise PT Assistants and PT/ PTA students.
• Discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Document per department policies.
• Participate in continuing education.

Compensation: $41.60-$56.00 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.

• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient‑specific and facility‑wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions, as needed.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• State Licensure: Hold a current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Certified BLS: Possess Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
