Job summary

A critical illness recovery hospital is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) in Harrisburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing exceptional care. Candidates must hold a current state PT licensure and complete BLS certification within 90 days. Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state.
• Certification in BLS required within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students.
• Monitor and modify patient treatments as required.
• Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervise PT and PTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patient’s response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions, as needed.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
