Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Flint, MI is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide functional rehabilitation in home and community settings. This full-time role focuses on real-life activities, guided by a collaborative team of therapists and leaders who support flexible, patient-centered care.

The position emphasizes autonomy in clinical decision-making while maintaining strong teamwork and ongoing education opportunities in neurorehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of PT work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to neurological injury.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans and attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide recommendations for home and community safety; offer education resources.
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family members.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.

What you will do:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university with accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current, unrestricted license as Physical Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification in accordance state regulations
• A minimum of one year's work experience as a physical therapist preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on the specific location policy, local or state regulations to verify that he/she is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
