Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in the United States seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide functional rehabilitation across home, school, work, and community settings.

You will treat clients in real-life environments such as kitchens, grocery stores, restaurants, and workplaces while working autonomously within a collaborative team of therapists. Flexible schedule and hourly pay accompany travel reimbursement and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as Physical Therapist in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification per state regulations.
• At least 1 year of experience as a physical therapist preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injury.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide recommendations for home and community safety, plus education resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, and family.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration and improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university with accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current, unrestricted license as Physical Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification in accordance state regulations
• A minimum of one year's work experience as a physical therapist preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity,and walking/standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on the specific location policy, local or state regulations to verify that he/she is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
