Job Details

The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The Physical Therapist is an integral healthcare provider accountable for assisting patients to reach their highest level of function. The Staff Level I Therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health and work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Essential Functions
  • Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload across various settings such as acute care, skilled facilities, rehab, and outpatient.
  • Participate in student education and contribute to teaching as a novice clinician.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs to aid patient recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
  • Record and document patient health progress, therapeutic interventions, daily treatments, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • 0-2 Years of Clinical Practice required; 1 Year preferred.
  • Valid state license in Physical Therapy.
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers, BLS).
