Job Details

The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The Physical Therapist is an essential healthcare provider committed to helping patients achieve their highest level of function. The Staff Level I Therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in various settings including acute care, skilled facilities, acute rehab, and outpatient as appropriate.
  2. Participate in student education and contribute to the training of novice clinicians.
  3. Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs to help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate.
  4. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and their families.
  5. Record and document clients'/patients' health progress, therapeutic interventions, daily treatments, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • 0-2 years of clinical practice required; 1 year preferred.
  • Valid state license in Physical Therapy.
  • CPR certification required (American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers, BLS).
