Medical University of South Carolina in Marion, SC invites you to join a dedicated Physical Therapy team. The role combines inpatient and outpatient care, with a 40-hour work week and comprehensive state benefits. You will evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury or surgery, establish treatment plans, and document progress.

New graduates are welcome. Requirements include a Degree in Physical Therapy, SC license eligibility, and BLS certification; Driver’s License preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, administer and direct physical therapy procedures as prescribed by a practitioner.
• Establish goals of physical therapy and re-assess patient progress with documentation.
• Treat patients using exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy and equipment to ease pain and aid recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers and insurance adjusters; document progress and supervise staff as needed.

Job Description

Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Establishes goals of physical therapy and re‑assesses patient’s progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation. This job classification is required to care for patients of all ages. Communicates with patients, families, peers, and other professionals as needed to provide continuity of care. Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands‑on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. Documents and reports on patients' progress. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers.

Position Type

Education
