Job summary

Mercy Health in Bella Vista, AR seeks a Physical Therapist to assess and treat adult and geriatric patients, guided by therapy leadership and Mercy standards. You will supervise rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, maintain licensure, and participate in a collaborative care team focused on compassionate, innovative patient care.

This full-time role requires current state license and a DPT/MS/BSc in PT, and BLS certification; prior rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Work under Therapy Leadership and align with Mercy mission and standards.

Find your calling at Mercy!Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

Education:

Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure:

Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications:

BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience:

Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
