Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Warren, MI, seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients within Rehab and inpatient settings. You will conduct initial and ongoing assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and perform therapy interventions using standard PT techniques.

The role involves supervising PT assistants and students, with preference for those who have Neuro experience. Michigan licensure or eligibility within 30 days is required, along with BLS certification.

Qualifications

Job Description

Location: Henry Ford Charwood, Warren Michigan, Neurological Recovery Systems

Hours: Monday through Friday. No weekends, major holidays or evenings.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Primarily in Rehab, but some crossover to Inpatient therapy is possible.

Responsibilities:

• Performs initial and on-going assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of each patient.
• Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Physical Therapist bachelor degreewith5 years of experienceORMaster’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program
• Experience working in Neuro is preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current State of Michigan licensure.Will consider those who will be licensed within 30 days of applying.
• CertifiedBLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross. obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
