Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ seeks a Pediatric Physical Therapist to plan, organize, and implement pediatric treatment programs. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote development via developmentally appropriate activities and proper handling techniques.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with a New Jersey license and BLS certification. Day shift; on-site at The Valley Health System-Ridgewood.

Qualifications

Position Summary

To plan, organize, and implement specific treatment programs for pediatric patients in a variety of age groups according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy to include proper positioning through developmental sequence, proper handling techniques, and use of appropriate toys and/or equipment to encourage quality development. To collaborate with pediatric interdisciplinary treatment team.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.

Experience

No previous experience required.

Skills

Current and Valid New Jersey license as a Physical Therapist. Current BLS Certification. Keyboard Skills. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.
