Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a licensed or eligible Physical Therapist to assess patients, develop and implement therapy plans, and document care. The role includes educating patients and coordinating with families and staff, while supervising assistants and support staff.

Requires a Doctorate/Master's/Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, with preferred experience. BLS certification must be current; ongoing training is required. This is a full-time, on-site clinical position at Norman Regional.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Experience preferred.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Oklahoma State Board or eligible for Oklahoma licensure/temporary licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) must be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment or license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care.
• Performs therapy programs utilizing standard physical therapy techniques as appropriate for the patient's age, functional impairments, abilities, needs and desires.
• Documents delivery of Physical Therapy services.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
• Directs and supervises activities of Physical Therapist Assistants and support personnel.
