Job description

Physical Therapist
Position Overview

Quest Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team. Our Physical Therapists help children develop the strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and functional movement skills needed to participate more independently and successfully in their everyday lives.

This position provides evaluation and skilled physical therapy services using a child- and family-centered approach. Our PTs work alongside other therapists, families, and members of the child's care team to develop meaningful goals and individualized treatment plans.

Whether you are an experienced pediatric therapist or a new graduate looking to develop your clinical skills, we are looking for someone who values teamwork, professional growth, and making a meaningful difference for children and families.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Review and interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized and non-standardized evaluation procedures.
  • Evaluate children across relevant physical therapy domains and identify factors that may be limiting mobility, independence, participation, or functional performance.
  • Integrate standardized assessment results, skilled clinical observation, and child and family concerns to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Establish appropriate short- and long-term goals and recommend frequency and duration of physical therapy services.
  • Provide skilled, evidence-informed physical therapy interventions based on each child's individual needs and goals.
  • Partner with families by communicating goals, progress, recommendations, and strategies that support carryover outside of therapy.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and other members of the child's care team.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation that supports medical necessity and meets payer and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children receiving services through insurance, school-based services, consultation, or private-pay models.
  • Manage clinical responsibilities, documentation, and scheduling in accordance with Quest's clinician efficiency and billing expectations.
  • May supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
  • May provide clinical supervision and mentorship to physical therapy students.
Qualifications & Licensure
  • Current Oklahoma Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Oklahoma licensure. New graduates who are eligible to sit for the required licensure examination are encouraged to apply. Required licensure must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document medical necessity and communicate effectively with families, interdisciplinary team members, and other stakeholders involved in a child's care.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet documentation, billing, and clinician efficiency expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team.
What We're Looking For

  • Enjoys working with children and families.
  • Values collaboration and being part of a team.
  • Communicates openly and professionally with families and coworkers.
  • Is dependable, organized, and able to manage a full clinical caseload.
  • Is receptive to feedback and interested in continued professional growth.
  • Understands that excellent pediatric therapy involves both strong clinical skills and meaningful relationships with children and their families.
