OSF HealthCare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the physical therapy treatment plan under supervision. You will administer and monitor patient progress through therapeutic exercises, transfer and gait training, and other modalities as directed by a Physical Therapist.

The position's primary location is Sheridan, with potential to serve orthopedic and aquatic patients at additional sites.

Qualifications

• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
• Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.

Responsabilités

• The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to implement and adjust treatment plans.

Expected pay for this position is $27.26- $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists treatment plan.

This position’s primary location will be at Sheridan, serving the industrial rehab and neurologically impaired patient populations. This position will also have the potential to serve the orthopedic and aquatic patient populations at other locations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

• State license as Physical Therapist Assistant
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Skills/knowledge:

• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
• Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Valid driver's license
