OSF HealthCare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapists' treatment plan under supervision. You will administer therapeutic exercises, monitor patient responses, assist with transfers, gait training and related treatments in line with the plan.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's degree, a State PTA license, and CPR certification within 90 days. This is an hourly, on-site position with competitive total rewards and vacation benefits.

Expected pay for this position is $27.26- $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists treatment plan.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

• State license as Physical Therapist Assistant
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Skills/knowledge:

• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
• Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Valid driver's license
