What you will do in this role:

1. Provide quality, compassionate care in a team setting within a secure environment.
2. Implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Assist patients with tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance, whether they are mentally or physically impaired.
3. Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
4. Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting standards.
5. Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
6. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
7. Handle responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program culminating in an Associate Degree.
2. Current state licensure as a PTA or equivalent in the states where services are provided.
3. CPR certification (if required).
