What you will do in this role:

  • Provide quality, compassionate care in a team setting within a secure environment.
  • Implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Assist patients with mental and/or physical impairments to participate in tasks that restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance.
  • Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with patient scheduling and document charges daily in patient records.
  • Accurately document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
  • Instruct patients’ families and nursing staff on follow-through programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program culminating in an Associate Degree.
  • Current state licensure as a PTA or equivalent in the states where services are rendered.
  • CPR certification (if required).
