What you will do in this role:

  • Provide compassionate, quality care in a team setting within a secure environment.
  • Implement the patient's Care Plan under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, assisting mentally and physically impaired patients to participate in tasks aimed at restoring and enhancing their performance.
  • Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and post charges to patient records daily.
  • Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
  • Educate patients' families and nursing staff on follow-up programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe, clean condition.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program culminating in an Associate Degree.
  • Current state licensure as a PTA or equivalent in the states where services are provided.
  • CPR certification (if required).
