Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, following physician-ordered plans of care. Qualifications

• Current licensure in NC as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility to sit the state licensure exam.
• CPR certification required; if not currently certified must complete upon hire.
• Competency-based orientation includes age and population specific skills for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Work requires physical demands of positioning, transferring, and lifting patients.
• Must possess full range of body motion and be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist as determined by the plan of care ordered by a physician.
• Assists the patient in the restoration of function and prevention of disability following disease, injury, or loss of a limb.
