Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct PT services under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The role follows a physician-ordered plan of care and aligns with hospital policies and procedures to support patient recovery and function restoration.

The PTA must be licensed in NC (or eligible) and complete orientation covering pediatric, adult, and geriatric care, while maintaining the ability to assist with patient positioning

Qualifications

• CPR certification required; if not currently certified must complete upon hire.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation addressing pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Must maintain physical stamina and be able to assist with positioning, transferring, and lifting patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist and per the physician-ordered plan of care.
• Assist patients in restoring function and preventing disability following illness, injury, or loss of limb.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice; maintain access to patient health information.
