Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Physical Therapy assistant to deliver outpatient PT in patients' homes from Kraft Center, during the Day shift. The role supports a range of ages and operates under a licensed physical therapist’s supervision.

Applicants must have an accredited PT program degree, current NJ license, CPR certification, and strong communication with health-system staff and families. Valid driver’s license and driving responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program by the Committee of Accreditation in Education.
• No prior experience required.
• Current New Jersey License and CPR certification are required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To administer Physical Therapy treatments to outpatients in the home environment in a variety of age groups as planned by and supervised by a physical therapist.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited program by the Committee of Accreditation in Education.

EXPERIENCE:

No previous experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Current New Jersey License. Current CPR certification. Standard Precautions. Keyboard Skills. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs. Driver’s License - current and valid driver’s license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
