Job summary

Centra Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care setting. Open to experienced clinicians or new graduates, with day shifts and responsibilities to deliver therapy under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

The role requires an Associate's degree, current PTA licensure or active licensure application, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions under supervision of a PT.
• Implement and modify the patient's therapy plan under supervision.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

This is a contract position. Days schedule. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into their job performance.

Requirements

• Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT .
• Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
