Job summary

Capitol Home Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will work with patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs in the Bastrop area.

The PTA provides quality service with strong communication and organization, maintains CPR certification, and travels to assigned locations. This position is on-site in Central Texas with a supportive, family-owned team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current and unencumbered license to practice PTA in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification with in-person practical skills evaluation.
• Access to reliable transportation.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing quality rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist. The PTA will be working with patients that have musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies. PTA will promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current and unencumbered certification or license to practice physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
