Physical Therapist Assistant

Must be a graduate of an accredited program as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), have taken the NPTE exam or be eligible to take it, and possess or be eligible to apply for a state license to practice.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess the needs of residents requiring occupational therapy and match services accordingly.
  2. Meet with residents regularly as per the treatment schedule, evaluate, and maintain progress records.
  3. Report progress to management and family members, and meet with them regularly.
  4. Repeat evaluations periodically to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
  5. Stay current with professional literature and attend seminars to update skills.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Sufficient hearing ability to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with residents and family members.
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
  • NPTE exam eligibility or completion.
  • Valid or eligible state license to practice as a PTA.
