The Shores, a UMC community in Ocean City, NJ, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for per diem, day shifts, at $40 per hour. The role supports a therapy team delivering care to residents across assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and short-term rehab settings.

Active New Jersey PTA license in good standing is required, with preferred experience in skilled nursing or sub-acute rehab. Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement, and tuition assistance where applicable.

• Provide physical therapy treatments designed by the licensed Physical Therapist to help residents reach their goals.
• Guide residents through exercises and activities that improve strength, balance, mobility, and walking ability.
• Support residents in practicing functional skills such as transfers, stair navigation, and safe movement throughout daily routines.
• Monitor resident performance during therapy sessions and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation to maintain continuity of care and support treatment outcomes.

Join our Therapy team at The Shores in Ocean City. This per diem position offers $40 per hour with day shifts availability.

The Shores is a community serving residents in assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation. Our Therapy team plays an essential role in helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments designed by the licensed Physical Therapist to help residents reach their goals
• Guide residents through exercises and activities that improve strength, balance, mobility, and walking ability
• Support residents in practicing functional skills such as transfers, stair navigation, and safe movement throughout daily routines
• Monitor resident performance during therapy sessions and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Complete timely, accurate documentation to maintain continuity of care and support treatment outcomes

What You’ll Need

Required:

• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing

Preferred:

• Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute rehab, or home health (newly licensed PTAs are welcome to apply)
• Experience with Net Health Therapy documentation
