Job summary

Palmdaleregional is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to support licensed physicians in administering PT modalities and interventions. The role focuses on restoring function and preventing disability after injury or illness, while engaging in ongoing professional development.

Ideal candidates hold an AA degree (APTA-approved), CA PTA license, and a current BLS certification. One year of acute care PTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of PTA experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• Completion of an AA degree from an APTA-approved program.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy modalities and interventions as prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Administers treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability after injury or illness.
• Contributes to departmental operations and development and pursues professional growth.

• Develops self professionally, supports and participates in departmental operations and development.
• One (1) year experience as a physical therapy assistant in an acute care facility preferred.
• Completion of A.A. degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current California license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS (AHA) current certification.
