Job summary

H2 Health in Tazewell, VA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient clinic. The role offers flexible 24–35 hours per week with full-time benefits eligibility at 35 hours, and a supportive clinical team focused on hands-on patient care.

You will provide PT treatments under a licensed PT, help patients improve strength, mobility, and function, document using EMR, and collaborate with our rehabilitation professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Outpatient experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence through therapeutic exercises and hands-on interventions.
• Treat patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and other conditions affecting movement and function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate clinical observations with the supervising PT.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercises and strategies to support their recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using our EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Competitive Pay

Competitive Pay: $25-$30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
