Summary

We are hiring for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant in the Carrollton area.

Salary based on full-time employment and maximum productivity: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatments, provides exercise instructions, and educates patients to improve their well-being, following the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the supervising PT as needed.
• Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, activities of daily living (ADL), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members within the scope of practice for a PTA.

Education and Experience

License Requirements:

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Additional State Requirements:

• Texas: At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed PTA.
