Summary

We are hiring for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant in the Farmers Branch / Dallas area.

Salary based on full-time employment and max productivity: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatment, provides exercise instruction, and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being while following the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the supervising PT as needed.
• Instruct and assist patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and team members within the scope of practice of the PTA.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Additional State Requirements

• TX: Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a licensed PTA.
