Job summary

Elite Home Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy services in patients' homes in the Gainesville area under PT supervision. This PRN role supports a Medicare-certified agency committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and positive outcomes.

You should be a graduate PTA with Florida licensure, CPR, valid driver's license, and willingness to meet compliance requirements. Prior home health experience is a plus and strong teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Florida PTA license in good standing.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet all required background and compliance requirements.
• Clinical experience preferred; home health experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under PT supervision.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and mobility training.
• Support strengthening, fall prevention, and safe functional movement.
• Monitor patient response and report progress to PT.
• Reinforce patient/caregiver education as directed by PT.
• Complete accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Communicate with PT and care team regarding patient needs.
• Participate in care coordination and required trainings.
• Follow Medicare/state regulations and agency policies.

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).

Position Summary

The PTA provides skilled physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders, the established therapy plan of care, PT direction, agency policies, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising PT
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility training
• Support strengthening, fall prevention, and safe functional movement
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the PT
• Reinforce patient and caregiver education as directed by the PT
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Communicate with the PT and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs
• Participate in care coordination, meetings, in-services, and required training
• Follow Medicare requirements, state regulations, and agency policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Florida PTA license/certification in good standing
• Previous clinical experience preferred; home health experience a plus
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Ability to meet all required background and compliance requirements
