Barnes Care with BJC has an opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). In this full-time position, the PTA will float at multiple clinics, providing care for various cases and functions, offering valuable exposure and hands-on experience across the care spectrum. Overview

The BarnesCare-Midtown clinic provides occupational medicine services, including physical examinations, medical surveillance, injury/exposure evaluation, and more for client companies and their employees in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the physical therapist to assess and reassess patient care, goals, and interventions.
• Documents patient progress and contributes to discharge notes.
• Guides clinical fieldwork students under supervision.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress, and contributes to screening and evaluation processes.
