Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc. is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Sunny Ridge team in Nampa, Idaho. This full-time role emphasizes geriatric mobility, independence, and meaningful patient outcomes in a supportive, therapist-owned company.

You'll work closely with PTs, nurses, OTs and speech therapists to maximize function, reduce fall risk, and empower residents to return home or increase independence with dignity.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat a medically complex geriatric population with time, clinical reasoning and compassion.
• Guide residents through mobility milestones—first steps, safe transfers.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT and speech to support whole-person recovery.
• Celebrate small wins that matter to patients and families.

As a PTA in our geriatric clinics, your day is relationship-driven, collaborative, and clinically meaningful:

• You'll treat a medically complex geriatric population in a setting where time, clinical reasoning, and compassion are valued. You will be challenged every day!
• Guiding residents through mobility milestones - first steps, safe transfers, returning home
• Leading gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions
• Helping reduce fall risk and build confidence with daily activities
• Collaborating closely with your PT to adjust care plans
• Working alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery
