Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full Time

***THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A SIGN ON BONUS OF $2,500***

Position Goal

Responsible for providing direct patient care based on treatment plan established by primary Physical Therapist.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Administers physical therapy treatment programs as supervised and directed by a staff PT.
2. Adheres to the plan of care established by PT for each patient’s care.
3. Operates therapeutic equipment and devices as necessary.
4. Documents care and other patient information for medical record including history, treatment and consultations.
5. Complies with department policies/procedures and regulations related to infection control.
6. Bills patients according to proper procedures.
7. Serves as an educational resource for patients, families, and other members of the therapy staff.
8. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
9. Maintains HIPAA and abides by appropriate state ethics laws.
10. Performs appropriate wound care and assessment in order to enhance surgical outcomes.
11. Provides documentation with appropriate progressions in a timely and efficient manner.
12. Stays up to date on appropriate protocols for patient population.

1. Current state PTA license

3. This position may require travel to and from satellite clinics as assigned. Please note, if assigned for travel, this position will require a valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire (MVR will be screened on an annual basis).
