Responsibilities

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, to enhance patient care services. Communicates regularly with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to ensure assessment and reassessment needs, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist oversight. Participates in patient, family, student, and coworker education. Performs other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.
