Job summary

Park View Care Center in Wells, MN is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will help implement treatment plans, guide exercises, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

Ideal candidates have an Accredited PTA program background with an Associate’s degree and a Minnesota PTA license. Benefits include health plans, PTO, and a $2,500 bonus paid over 18 months.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program and have at a minimum an Associate’s degree.
• Must possess a current PTA license for Minnesota.
• Must possess strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to long-term care.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

As our Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will support patients in improving, regaining, and maintaining their functional mobility and physical abilities under the supervision of a physical therapist. Your responsibilities will include assisting with treatment plans, guiding patients through exercises to improve strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination, preparing therapy equipment, monitoring patient progress, and documenting outcomes. To be successful, you must have strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team.

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.li>
• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of physiology and anatomy
• Proficient in medical terminology and physical therapy techniques
