Job summary

Pinewood Nursing Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to join an in-house therapy team in Georgia. You will support the supervising PT by implementing treatment plans and monitoring resident progress.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PTA program graduate, GA licensure, CPR certification, and good communication and teamwork skills; prior SNF or LTC experience is a plus. This role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid licensure/certification in GA.
• CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire).
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks.
• Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, and overall physical endurance.
• Monitor and document residents' treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with the supervising PT regarding residents' status, changes, and potential adjustments to care plans.
• Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety measures.
• Adhere to facility policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements, including documentation and infection control.
