Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our short-term rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans and provide skilled interventions to help patients regain strength, mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• California PTA license required and active.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide skilled interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance and functional independence.
• Assist patients with gait training, therapeutic exercises, transfers and functional activities.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress to the supervising PT.
• Provide education and encouragement to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Promote patient safety, dignity, independence and quality of life.

Your Role as a PTA
