Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Perform only procedures you are qualified and trained to do, and make recommendations for changes in the care plan to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based treatments within the scope of practice and according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about therapy within your scope of practice.

Education and Experience

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
