Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Perform only procedures you are qualified and trained for, and recommend changes in the care plan to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments within your scope and according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as needed.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members about therapy within your scope.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
