The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham, MA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position. Work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to support a general rehab caseload, with duties spanning data collection, treatment, and documentation.

Requires an ACCREDITED PTA degree, state licensure, and CEU compliance. Newly licensed PTAs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in PTA from an accredited program.
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency.
• CEUs per state licensure requirements.
• Prior clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Newly licensed PTAs are welcome.

Responsabilités

• Assist in provision, data collection, and direct treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Participate in clinical program development.
• Contribute to team meetings and program decisions.
• Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
• Monitor efficiencies with supervisor.
• Document activities in the clinical documentation system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
• Perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center!

8a-4p schedule with weekly pay up to $40 an hour.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality care to our patients. As a PTA, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

• CEU's per state licensure requirements

• Current licensure by the applicable state agency where required

• Prior clinical experience preferred but not required

• Newly licensed PTAs welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Participate in clinical program development

• Contribute to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program

• Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers

• Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor

• Document activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis

• Demonstrate consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

• Perform additional assigned administrative duties as needed

Specific Requirements:

• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary

• Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care

• Requires intense attention and concentration

• Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands

• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others

• Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds

• Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
